Winter Survival Kit

We're building it!

What It Is

A collective of cold weather lovelies, gather around the fireplace, sharing their tips (everything from guilty pleasures to purification techniques) and wisdom (everything from beating the blues mantras to cultivating your creativity) for how to remain happy, healthy, graceful, sexy, fit, hydrated, nourished...even in the darkest, dullest days of winter.

What it's not

This is not a health and wellness blog (though it will be a priority). This is not a product hawking blog (though we will share cool, environmentally friendly products we like to treat ourselves to). This is not a blog for women who can afford to take a sabbatical and spend the entire winter in Tahiti (though good on ya, if that's you). This is not a progressive politics soapbox (although it's bound to come up because we are unrepentant progressives). This is not a New Age self-help guide (although it's true, we're yoga fanatics so it may eek in there).

Who is this for?
Other cold weather lovelies who enjoy a nice glass of Bordeaux in front of the fireplace on a blustery winter night - and who never leave their houses without their scarves.

Les Filles

For the last 18 years, Meaghan and Amanda have been through snow, sleet, rain, and ice together, yet they hate cold weather. They share an over-sized love of dogs, yet wish their pooches could walk themselves on February mornings. They have both spent a long time in CA, yet find themselves back in cold climes wondering what the hell they're doing there.

However, they are dedicated to making the best of what winter has to offer. Mostly they just love sitting around a crackling fire, drinking wine, and taking life in stride. They are big advocates of wintertime baths, skincare products, and numerous yoga poses.
And have both been told that they look hot in scarves.

Meaghan and Amanda have started this blog and invited other hot scarf wearers to contribute their tips and wisdom for making friends with winter with their body, mind, and spirit in tact.

The girls in scarves represent Paris, Boston, New York, Toronto, Montreal.....
